Your new role
Rockhampton Heritage Village has an exciting opportunity for a passionate person to join our team as casual Maintenance and Livestock Assistant.
You will provide care and handling for a variety of livestock, maintenance of the site and provide a positive and enjoyable cultural tourism experience to all of our visitors.
Applicants will need to be available to work weekends and if required, after hours.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

• Experience handling and caring for a variety of livestock

• Ability to operate horse drawn and motorised vehicles

• Experience in identifying and managing noxious weeds and pests

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to do a variety of physical indoor and outdoor work

Application Criteria

• Experience in animal husbandry and stable management, with a strong horse focus.

• Friendly and positive attitude with strong customer service skills and experience.

• Experience in maintenance and gardening activities and possess (or ability to obtain) an ACDC Chemical Spraying Licence.
