About the role
We have a permanent opportunity for a Manager - Operations Planning and Support, joining our Operations Services team based in Leederville. Preference is for the role to be based in our Head office at Leederville, but we will also consider other work locations (Regions, Metro) for this role.
Reporting to our Head of Operations Services, you’ll lead statewide planning and support services through the provision of management, coordination, quality assurance and procurement/contract services for the Capital and Non-Capital delivery works programs.
This is a newly established role that will work collaboratively with various Stakeholders in line with our Values enabling safe, efficient and effective delivery of Capital and Non-Capital delivery works programs across the state.

What the role will involve
- Lead the strategic development of planning and support services for the section and business unit to drive consistent standardised and efficient processes across project and program portfolio
- Lead the development and ongoing implementation of a lessons learnt framework to ensure continuous improvement in delivery
- Lead the team to provide scheduling, costing, analysis, reporting and liaison advice and support across our project delivery section
- Oversee assurance of spend across complex statewide portfolios, including monitoring and reporting on spend and cashflow, program performance and escalating issues where appropriate
- Collaborate with and influence Stakeholders to prioritise single cycle maintenance and minor works programs against competing operational priorities
- Develop and manage relationships with Manager Contracts and Manager Procurement to monitor and execute the future project delivery requirements
- Collaborate with key Stakeholders to improve and standardise processes for streamlined delivery of projects
You’ll be tertiary qualified in management, with extensive experience in providing engineering project controls services, with an ability to drive and embed business improvement, and advanced knowledge of project and program management.
Your demonstrated extensive leadership experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams, with values and behaviours that contribute to a constructive and high-performance culture, and the ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence both senior internal and external stakeholders will ensure success in this role.
You’ll bring demonstrated experience in delivering and sustaining streamlined processes and practises realising efficient and effective outcomes for an organisation. You have a strategic mind with strong commercial acumen and an ability to ‘challenge status-quo’ for the greater good of the business.
