Responsibilities:
- assess the startup ecosystem to identify potential investment opportunities for IQT US aligned with IQT US and government requirements.
- promote IQT’s mission and brand in the region through conference and event attendance, briefing support and coordination with local governments.
- engage with the potential investment targets to facilitate IQT US investment activity into that potential investment target.
- introduce the potential target company to IQT US for IQT US to conduct pre-deal diligence and other reviews of the potential target company.
- provide liaison related to the negotiation of deal terms and legal documents between IQT US and the target company and, if approved by IQT US, support deal execution; and
- provide post-investment support, including acting as a liaison and/or board observer to investments and produce required deliverables, reports, and other such documentation as directed.
- oversee relationship with foreign government to support delivery of capabilities.
- support development and lead execution of a regional strategy.
- Degree in Business or related field preferred. This position requires significant operations experience and a broad breadth of business experience.
- Candidates should have 15+ years of operations experience in a variety of business disciplines such as sales, marketing, business development or finance.
- Must be strong, experienced negotiators who are comfortable negotiating high-value transactions with minimal oversight. Specifically, Managing Director should have experience negotiating equity investments and have a working knowledge of ways in which venture capital agreements are structured.
- Relevant work experience in one of In-Q-Tel’s technology focus areas is a benefit.
