- Salary $121,537 - $126,970 RN/M3 (Pro Rata) | Full Time - Ongoing
This ward consist of 26 beds that will be used as a general ward and may be assisting with patients transitioning from the Emergency Department to the other respective wards.
About the role:
Reporting to the Nursing Director, as the Nurse Unit Manager duties for the role will include:

Ensure the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed Division / Unit / Ward / Service and strategic plans
- Oversee the provision of nursing/midwifery care within a team/unit
-
Provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing/midwifery care and/or individual case management to patients/clients in a defined clinical area

Monitoring patient/client care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved

Act as a resource person within an area based on knowledge, experience and skills
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate,
-
Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills,
- Ability to review and improve models of care to be person and family centred,
- Demonstrated competence in acute care nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
