Northern Health are seeking applications from motvated and suitably experienced Occupational Therapists to join our team.
About Northern Health:
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the role:
The Occupational Therapy service at Northern Health prides itself on being inclusive, supportive and committed to evidence-based practice. We are a team driven by positive patient outcomes and team work. The NH OT service employs over 100 staff and are consistently striving to provide opportunitites to support staff growth and development.
Our Occupational Therapists work across many areas of practice including:
- Acute
- Sub-acute (rehabilitation, GEM and transitional care services)
- Home based services
- Community Rehabilitation
- Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and NDIS
- Hand Therapy
- Pediatrics (Neonatal ward and outpatients)
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience or good working knowledge of inpatient and/or community settings of Occupational Therapy practice
- Proven ability to thrive in a team environment and enjoy working in a large department
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice with a positive attitude to lifelong learning
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative and flexibility.
- High standard of professional behaviour.
- An appreciation and understanding of cultural diversity in the community.
