Recruiters Kogan People Solutions are assisting the management of this well regarded firm as they recruit their new painter.
About our client
Well regarded painter – decorating firm are working on a wide range of projects – all new build - throughout Melbourne's north western region (depot is in Wollert) The order book is full , and they now seek an extra skilled qualified full time painter to join the team.
Salary - great salary in the range $75,000 to $80,000 per annum plus superannuation
To be considered, you need to be able to demonstrate the following attributes and strengths:

Well experienced in all aspects of the painting trade.
Excellent communication skills.
You must be comfortable in a team or working alone and have a clear vehicle license.

Duties will include:

Painting to the highest standard of workmanship - surface prep, as well as mixing and matching
Working with a deep understanding of OHS practices and requirements, apply protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish and/or other related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture, equipment and other structures
Washing, scraping, sanding and/or smoothing interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing or applying other related materials
Thoroughly cleaning equipment, paint mixing area and work area
Installing, repairing and maintaining all sorts of internal surfaces, walls to ceilings
Competently erect and use apparatus (ladders and planks) to work safely at all heights
Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials and other hazardous materials.

To successfully apply, you:

Possess relevant trade certificates to at least Certificate III level plus 2 years supervised working experience, or close equivalent
Have a minimum 2 -3 years working experience in the field since you acquired your qualifications
Excellent demonstrated team skills, patience, and empathy
Are keen to join this firm as a salaried full time employee, so subcontractor arrangements will not be considered.
You have unrestricted rights to work in Australia
