About the Team:
The Business Assurance and Operations team sits within the Water Infrastructure and Operations (WIO) branch and provides finance, human resources, project assurance and general business advice and operations that enables the delivery of multiple significant programs and projects across the state including the Murray Darling Basin.
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Principal Project Accountant based in Adelaide. You will lead a team of Project Accountants who are responsible for partnering with staff in delivering best practice and integrated project accounting functions that facilitates the delivery of several multi-million dollar, multi-year projects funded by both Department for Environment and Water (DEW) and the Australian Government or the Murray-Darling Basin Authority.
The role ensures the development, tracking and management of project work plan budgets, treasury budgets, risks, reporting, advice and general finance and business program management across the branch including recommendations, preparation of high level and complex correspondence, and collaborates with internal stakeholders on a wide range of matters relating to the delivery and management of Branch outcomes.
To be successful in the role, you will have significant experience and well developed management accounting skills in government, proven ability to establish strong key networks and a demonstrated ability to lead a highly collaborative, solutions focused team.

Contract:
Contract for 12 months.
Qualification:
A qualification in finance discipline is highly desirable.
Special Conditions:

• A current National Police Clearance is essential.
• A current driver's licence and willingness to drive a 4WD is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work alone and be self-reliant.
• May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.

Remuneration:
ASO7 $108,109 min - $116,864 max p.a.
