Are you a Registered Nurse/Midwife with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high quality patient care? Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses/Midwives for their Special Care Nursery on a part time basis .

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

The Department
Our maternity Unit is a 25 bed post/antenatal/gynecology ward with 5 birthing suite rooms. Supporting this service is a 9 bed level 4 Special Care Nursery.
Your duties will include;

• Monitoring Neonates and recording observations

• Daily care of babies in SCN

• Supporting and assisting with feeding of babies

• Supporting families with bonding during their stay

• Use of CPAP equipment

• Ability to work shift work

Essential Criteria:

• Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA

• Minimum of 2 years Neonatal nursing level 4 nursery experience

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery

• CPAP competent

• Commitment to Quality Patient Care

• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

• Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Works well independently and within a team Intermediate computer skills

Desirable Criteria:

• Post graduate qualifications in Neonatal nursing (or working towards)
