Are you a Registered Nurse/Midwife with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high quality patient care? Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses/Midwives for their Special Care Nursery on a part time basis .

Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 340-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.
With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

The Department
Our maternity Unit is a 25 bed post/antenatal/gynecology ward with 5 birthing suite rooms. Supporting this service is a 9 bed level 4 Special Care Nursery.
Your duties will include;
- Monitoring Neonates and recording observations
- Daily care of babies in SCN
- Supporting and assisting with feeding of babies
- Supporting families with bonding during their stay
- Use of CPAP equipment
- Ability to work shift work
- Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Minimum of 2 years Neonatal nursing level 4 nursery experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery
- CPAP competent
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team Intermediate computer skills
- Post graduate qualifications in Neonatal nursing (or working towards)
