Registered Nurse – Orthopaedic Unit - Targeted
Royal Newcastle Centre/ Awabakal Country

Where you’ll be working:

A unique opportunity awaits to join a forward-thinking, patient-centred Orthopaedics Unit within a major tertiary hospital.
Ward E3 is a 30-bed elective surgical Orthopaedic Unit, dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team, patients, and their families or carers.

On E3, you will be welcomed and supported, working alongside a team that prioritises both patient care and staff safety.

About the role:

  • In this role you will have the opportunity to develop specialised skills in managing the pre- and post-operative care of elective orthopaedic patients, as well as caring for a diverse range of patients, including those in Trauma, General/Acute Surgery, and Vascular care.
  • You will be supported by both the clinical specialists within the unit and the Surgical Services Clinical Education Team to ensure a smooth transition into our high-performing unit.

Requirements:

Our successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
