Create an impact as a Senior Guidewire Tester and QA
Your Role
We are looking for a senior tester to really hit the ground running. The purpose of your role is to analyse proposed solutions, implement solutions, solve complex problems and to provide test leadership to assure the quality of the solutions being built.
Working closely with Project Managers, Iteration Managers, Analysts and Developers, as well as other members of the platform and project teams, such as Architects, Environment Management, Release Management and key business stakeholders you will ensure that risks are identified and complex solutions are delivered in this fast paced and dynamic environment.
This position is a permanent, full-time opportunity based near any of our major centres.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:
  • Experience and working knowledge of Guidewire
  • Experience in Automation
  • Experience in planning, coordinating and reporting on test efforts for projects.
  • Experience in context-based and risk-based testing of complex business applications
  • Expertise in the use of a BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) framework based on Cucumber, or similar
  • Experience in using automation tools, such as; Selenium and Capybara for UI interfaces;
  • Mongoid for data handling, contract testing, etc.
  • Programming expertise in Ruby and Java, or similar
  • Experience in use of databases – Relational Data Base Mgmt. Systems (RDBMS) as well as No SQL databases such as Mongo
  • Experience in the Insurance industry, either claims, policy or financial management
  • Documenting process flows
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members and foster an engaged team environment.
