Your opportunity

We are seeking a strategic leader to join our forward-thinking team as the Service Manager Economic Strategy and Services. In this exciting, impactful role, you will lead a skilled, professional team to develop and deliver economic strategies, investment attraction, and industry development for Redlands Coast. This role offers a unique opportunity to make both strategic and tactical impacts on our region’s growth and prosperity, as part of a newly realigned group focused on economic innovation and collaboration.

As Service Manager, you will oversee the implementation and monitoring of an integrated Economic Development Strategy, attracting domestic and international investments, and supporting workforce, business, and industry development. Working closely with stakeholders, you'll provide expert insights to the Mayor, CEO, and council leadership on economic development initiatives and maintain close relationships with partners for effective advocacy. You will manage significant economic development projects, navigate council processes, and ensure budget efficiency, while fostering a team culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.

What you’ll bring

We are seeking an experienced leader with a deep understanding of business and economic development in local and regional contexts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing strategic projects with a focus on performance monitoring, budget control, and leading multi-sector collaborations with diverse stakeholders. Strong leadership skills are essential, with the ability to build high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth. The role requires excellent research and analytical abilities to develop innovative policies and strategies, as well as expertise in articulating emerging economic development issues. A key focus will be on delivering strategic plans that achieve measurable outcomes while building a team culture of quality and efficiency.

Eligibility

You'll have a current Class C drivers licence.

You'll have a tertiary qualification/s in a relecant discipline, which may include, but are not limited to Economics, Business, Town Planning, Commerce and so on.
