Your opportunity

The Visitor Experience Officer will enhance tourism engagement in Redlands Coast by providing professional, unbiased visitor services. The role involves assisting with inquiries in-person, by phone, and email, maintaining updated tourism information, creating visitor itineraries, and performing administrative tasks such as reception duties and database management. The officer will monitor visitor statistics, manage digital content for tourism channels, handle retail and booking services, process payments, and ensure cash handling compliance. Upholding workplace safety and maintaining the Visitor Information Centre’s standards of cleanliness are also key responsibilities.

Effective customer service skills with demonstrated time management and prioritisation skills.

Sound interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.

Proven ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with Tourism Industry and/or community groups.

Demonstrated experience in cash handling to a high level of accuracy including the use of Point of Sale systems, booking systems and website and digital media platforms.

Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of relevant procedures and services.

Eligibility

You'll have the ability to work weekends and public holidays (if required).
You'll have a current C class drivers licence.

To be eligible for employment, applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.

Desired

You'll have a senior first aid certificate.
You'll have a good understanding of the tourism industry and local tourism knowledge of experiences and destinations.
