The Eyre and Far North Local Health Network invites applications for the role of TPPP Clinical Midwife Facilitator, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our nursing and midwifery staff. About the Role:
As the TPPP Clinical Midwife Facilitator, you will provide comprehensive support to our team, including graduate nurses and midwives, through in-person and virtual engagements. You will lead reflective, evidence-based practice improvements, fostering a culture of experience sharing and problem-solving.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Guiding and developing less experienced staff while maintaining accountability for your own practice standards.
  • Collaborating with Nurse Educators, Midwifery Unit Managers, and Nurse Managers to enhance clinical education services.
  • Managing a portfolio focused on clinical education while continuing to deliver high-quality, predominantly clinical care.
What We're Looking For:
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience.
  • Proven leadership in guiding student nurses/midwives, enrolled nurses/midwives, and less experienced registered nurses/midwives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.
  • Capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
  • Creative and flexible approach to clinical challenges.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, standards, and quality improvement systems in healthcare
  • Understanding of contemporary nursing/midwifery and health care issues.
