We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a full range of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, and supporting various departments within the company. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of the organization and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
As Accountant, your key responsibilities will be on:
- General Accounting Tasks: Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.
- Monthly Closing Activities: Prepare and execute monthly closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner.
- Expense Report Management: Review, process, and accurately account for employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Invoice Processing: Book purchase invoices, ensuring proper documentation, coding, and approvals are in place.
- Payment Processing: Create and execute payment runs, process payments via Isabel, and ensure all payments are made on time and recorded accurately.
- Annual Accounts & Tax Declarations: Prepare annual financial statements and assist in the preparation of tax declarations, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
- Team Support: Assist in other related tasks, providing support to the finance team as needed.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as compliance, legal, treasury, and commercial to support business objectives and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- You have obtained a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related role. You are an expert in your field or aspiring to become one.
- Proficiency in Excel is required. Knowledge of VAT is a plus and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
- You are fluent in English and Dutch; proficiency in any additional language is a plus.
- You are hands-on with a strong work ethic.
- Analytical, accurate, structured, and organized are characteristics that describe you well.
- You are a critical thinker with a strong attention to detail.
- You can work independently while also being a supportive team player.
