Lead and Build a Cloud Business Unit While Staying Hands-On!
We’re looking for a leader with both strategic vision and technical expertise in Azure to head our new cloud business unit. If you’re excited about building a team from the ground up and want to remain actively involved in cloud projects, this is the role for you.
ABOUT US
We are a consultancy of 80 professionals in Belgium (Leuven and Ghent), supported by a larger network of over 2000 experts across Europe, particularly in the Nordics. We work with clients across various sectors, and now we’re seeking a Business Unit (BU) Lead to shape and grow a cloud-focused team. Currently small, the cloud team is in its early stages, and you will play a key role in its development, both strategically and operationally.
YOUR ROLE
As the Business Unit Lead, you will:
- Set the Vision and Strategy: Define the direction of the cloud unit, develop business plans, and ensure the team’s growth aligns with financial goals. You will oversee P&L and work with the sales team to drive business development.
- Build and Shape the Team: Recruit and mentor new team members, together with a people lead, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. You’ll have the freedom to shape the cloud unit’s strategy as it grows.
- Stay Hands-On: Even in this leadership role, you’ll continue to work on small cloud projects yourself, remaining partially billable to keep your technical skills sharp and to stay connected to the work.
- Drive Cloud Solutions: Oversee the delivery of cloud projects, ensuring they meet client needs, and lead presales activities to support the sales team in securing new opportunities.
- Collaborate and Engage: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the managing director and sales team, as well as with clients and partners to deliver impactful cloud solutions.
YOUR PROFILE
- Experience in leading teams or business units, with responsibility for P&L and strategy.
- Deep knowledge of Azure cloud services, architecture, security, and migrations, with a hands-on approach to project delivery.
- The ability to balance leadership responsibilities with staying technically involved and billable.
- Strong business development and client relationship skills, with the ability to support presales and project delivery.
- Fluency in Dutch and French, and a good command of English.
- A collaborative and growth-oriented leadership style, with a passion for building teams and driving success.
