• Enhance the development of WHO CC Family Medicine and Primary Health Care UGhent, starting from the objective: to make a global contribution to the strengthening of Primary Care and Family Medicine through research, capacity building, advising on the development of local primary care, policy preparation and support;
• Prepare and participate in WHO meetings;
• Align priorities of the UGhent Centre of Family Medicine with WHO priorities;
• Organise local and international meetings with other WHO CC in Public Health and Primary Care ;
• External representation of WHO CC (in Belgium and abroad) and further development of contacts with international networks and partners;
• Final responsibility in administrative and financial follow-up of the WHO CC.

• You hold a thesis-based doctorate in the field of Medical Sciences

• Basic knowledge of and interest in the development of General Medicine and Primary Care worldwide;
• Taking initiative & responsibility yourself, but also being good at managing/encouraging people inside and outside the Department to work towards the goals of WHO CC;
• Collaboration with the whole team to translate work of colleagues and focus of WHO CC;
• Knowledge of web development is an advantage;
• Networker;

• Strategic insight and result-oriented work;

• Good English speaking and writing skills.

• We offer you a contract 20% of definite duration for the period of two years.
• Your contract will start on 1/01/2025 at the earliest.
