We currently have a vacancy for a Data Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

Evaluate requirements and technical offers from clients contractors, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s architecture and best practices;
Investigate, recommend, and evaluate solutions (including cost-benefit analyses and assessments of implementation timelines) to meet organisational needs;
Design, analyse, and oversee the integration and evolution of BI components, such as Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Data Marts, ETLs, Reporting Tools, and Analytics;
Ensure the integration of data and metadata from various information systems into harmonised BI tools, supporting decision-making processes;
Provide technical advice and consultancy on data architecture, BI tools, and system Integration;
Participate in brainstorming meetings and workshops;
Produce and review documentation, including system architecture, functional and technical requirements, and data models.

Requirements

University degree combined with relevant professional experience of 11 years;
At least 7 years of experience as a Solution Architect or Data Architect, with a strong focus on BI systems architecture and data management;
Experience working with tools such as SAS, STATA, Anaconda, and Jupyter Hub, ensuring the optimization and maintenance of these platforms;
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, Shell Scripting, SQL, and PL/SQL;
Expertise in SAS Platform 9.4 administration and deployment, as well as experience in other BI tools (e.g., SAS Visual Analytics, STATA, Jupyter Hub, RStudio);
Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data integration, and the development on automation solutions;
Experience in complex SQL query creation, database optimization, and the administration of data analytics platforms;
Experience in integrating new technologies and delivering scalable, data-driven Solutions;
AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, ITIL V3 Foundation, and certifications in Oracle SQL and Java SE 8 Programmer are beneficial;
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies is an asset;
Excellent command of the English language.
