Job Description
Business Context
As a member of the Be Lux senior management team (SMT), the Innovation & Business Excellence Lead/Director will report to the Country President (CP) and hold the main objective of maximizing commercial impact by supporting therapeutic areas (TAs) and brand objectives. The role involves defining and leading the company's strategic plan to deliver greater insights and analytics, supporting digital marketing, and delivering best-in-industry capabilities and training.
The IBEX head is the champion for driving Digital Innovation, Operational and Launch
Excellence, as well as the development of advanced integrated multichannel approaches and
innovative customer solutions in Belgium and Luxembourg. The responsibility encompasses
development and implementation of strategies and processes in the areas of SFE, Key account
management, marketing excellence, launch excellence, enhancement of commercial
capabilities, integrated and innovative multichannel concepts (including
Digital), business analytics and insights and IT.
The IBEX head leads a team of approximately 12 internal and external people working across the three business units (CVRM, R&I, Oncology).
Accountabilities
Strategic Business Partnering & Support
Act as a real business partner with in-country and above-country stakeholders. Drive programs and initiatives that have a tangible impact on the business performance. Be proactive, a strong team player and a key member of the country leadership team.
Team Management & Development
Lead and develop a high-performance team of 8 internal and 4 external colleagues by defining and communicating the team’s vision and objectives, evaluating employee performance, developing people and assigning resources to the right priorities.
Digital & technology for internal and external experience
Continue to drive impact with omnichannel for customer engagement and focus on organising for optimal, cost-effective delivery with the global teams.
Pilot and drive adoption of new technology and AI to drive effectiveness (e.g. content generation) and internal efficiency (eg use of ai for internal use).
Business Intelligence & Data Science
Develop and bring the business intelligence team to a higher level, focusing on driving insights and anticipating our future launches. Focus on streamlining, optimising or outsourcing key processes for the business units to create space for business partnering of the BIM’s.
Capability building
Implement capability-building programs with a clear focus on account working, set up as a company-wide change management program and a key priority for the affiliate.
Healthcare Innovation & Patient Solutions
Drive selected programs with internal and external stakeholders that will impact our future launches.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- MBA / Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., business or science).
- Demonstrated knowledge and very wide understanding of global business context (in Pharma advantage)
- Subject-matter expertise in Strategic Planning, Sales and Marketing, Digital Marketing and Innovation
- Strong business analytical skills
- Proven business partnering skills across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Proven project management skills in matrix organisations.
- Experience of working with Senior Management Teams with good influencing skills
- Evidence of the ability to pull together diverse teams over whom they have no line management responsibility
- Experience of successful influencing cross functionally, cross-culturally and cross-brands
- People leader with ability to develop team members
- An excellent communicator; evidence of strong independence and innovative seeker of strategic solutions; a strongly conceptual thinker
