To support this mission, we are seeking a talented Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team. Your mission:
You will support the International 3PL and Global Cross-Border Legal teams. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of contracts, including customer (logistics) contracts, transport carrier and other procurement contracts, partnership contracts, real estate contracts across multiple jurisdictions and work on specialized projects in an international context;
• Engage in business-oriented and practical legal work in an international environment;
• Oversee and manage disputes, coordinating litigation and collaborating with external legal counsel when needed;
• Monitor and advise internal stakeholders on evolving legislation impacting, among others, the logistics and transportation industry, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;
• Assist, on occasion, in overseeing and managing legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and collaborate with external legal counsel when needed or show interest in this area;
• Manage multiple tasks and activities effectively, prioritizing in alignment with business strategy and legal requirements;

The role is based in Brussels, Belgium. Some travel may be required.
Your profile:
This job is open to all with diverse backgrounds and talents, possessing the following skills:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in an international law firm, combined with a Master degree in Law;
• Strong background and interest in transactional work, such as M&A, contract negotiation, or another context in which you regularly and deeply engage with counterparts to reach a mutually beneficial outcome;
• Interest in learning the business and passion for helping it achieve its goals in a practical and compliant way;
• Strong analytical skills and ability to make reasoned decisions in high-stakes situations;
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of another language, such as Dutch or French, is a plus.
