We are in search of a Controller to become a vital part of our team in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Your role will involve overseeing accounting functions, managing financial systems, and conducting audits to ensure financial health.

Responsibilities:
Completion of consolidated monthly financial reporting, including historical financial statements, compilation of subsidiary forecasts and projections, and comparison of actual to forecast.
Prepare cash flow statements and balance sheets.
Maintain general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation, and monthly financial close.
Analyze financial reports and make recommendations.
Support ownership of the balance sheet, including fixed assets, reserves, and expenditures.
Assist with financial audit and external compliance reporting.
Ensure proper internal control structure throughout the organization.
Independently identify and develop process improvements for financial reporting, analysis, and accounting procedures.

Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required.
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years accounting experience, 5+ years preferred.
Knowledge of computerized accounting system, ability to work with detail, and good organizational skills are a requirement.
Extensive understanding of IFRS.
Ability to make independent judgements and complete complex financial analysis.
