Head of Medical Affairs - TA CRM - Czech Republic

We are currently looking for a committed professional to join our team as ' Head of Medical Affairs - TA CRM (Cardio Renal Metabolic) in the Czech Republic. You will lead a team of medical professionals and bring your expertise to a broad and complex medical field that is of high strategic and medical importance. As Head of Medical Affairs, you will ensure that our medicines are used safely and effectively by patients, doctors and healthcare providers. You will play a key role in generating relevant data for our pipeline assets at an early stage and developing strategies that are locally relevant. You will also act as an Early Asset Lead or Evidence Lead, among other things.


Collaboration across different functions, both nationally and regionally, is key to contributing to our company's strategic goals. You will also take advantage of the opportunity to shape local marketing and sales strategies with insights from expert discussions, advisory committees and study data.

Your key responsibilities will be:
Strategic:
    • Responsible for the tactical translation and execution of Medical Affairs strategy to ensure early and late local product acceptance, growth, and profitability throughout the life-cycle.
    • Accountable for the early engagement strategy several years prior to launch as well as for strategy after launch.
Driving Business Results/ Process/ Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Develop cross-functional teams (with Marketing, Sales, Healthcare Affairs & Pricing, and other functions) strategic guidance to bring the benefit of medications to our patients across the compound life-cycle.
    • Enable and support the local OPU to profile the safety and efficacy of our medications by focusing on medical information, local & regional generation, and communication of relevant clinical data.
    • Develop and perform Medical Affairs activities; studies, publications or programs with external experts in alignment to the planning process.
People:
    • Ensure that we attract, develop, and retain experts within responsible therapeutic areas.
    • Support knowledge and skill sharing within the MA organization and build relationships with respective functions with the ROPU and other countries within ROPU.
Leadership/ Supervision:
    • Ensure implementation and compliance to the Performance Management / Talent Management / Compensation Planning / timelines for the year.
    • Ensure that there are development plans for direct reports and that they are being implemented on the agreed timelines.
    • Ensure that talents are properly identified and that they are discussed in the cross validation and succession plans.
    • Ensure that proper coaching is provided during the MAG discussions (midyear, yearend, or whenever the need arises).
    • Ensure the adequate staffing of the team and the development and movement of talents are properly implemented.

Our requirements are:
    • minimum 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical medical affairs/medicine role.
    • fluent English and Czech

    • able to work with other professionals and people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
