We are looking for a talented and ambitious Performance Engineer to join our team and drive the optimization of our integrated development environments (IDEs). While previous IDE development experience is not a must, you should be passionate about software performance, highly motivated, and eager to learn and grow in your career. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the industry and help shape the future of software development.
As part of our team, you will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share expertise and technology stacks in the process of performance testing our IDEs.
• Develop and maintain benchmark infrastructure, profiling tools, and testing frameworks to measure and analyze performance metrics.
• Help developers analyze complex performance issues and identify their root causes.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure that new features are designed with performance in mind.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions on performance-related topics.

We will be happy to have you on our team if you:

• Have a strong professional background, such as 3 or more years of experience in software development, automation testing, or performance engineering.
• Display excellent problem-solving skills.
• Show a good understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, algorithms, and concurrency.
• Are proficient in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Rust, C/C++, or similar.
• Have experience with performance analysis tools, such as profilers, benchmarking frameworks, and logging mechanisms.
• Can communicate and collaborate proficiently in English.
• Are able to work effectively both as a part of a team and independently.

We'd be especially thrilled if you:

• Have hands-on experience developing desktop applications, especially IDEs or IDE plugins.
• Are familiar with low-level system programming and memory management.
• Have experience with software performance optimization.
