We're on the hunt for a Head of Social Media to drive Jet Brains’ social media presence. Reporting directly to the Head of Mar Com, this role demands a hands-on approach, a knack for complex social media strategies (multi-channel, multi-product, and cross-regional), a passion for storytelling, and a proven track record in amplifying brand voices across the digital sphere.
In this role, you will
We're on the hunt for a Head of Social Media to drive Jet Brains’ social media presence. Reporting directly to the Head of Mar Com, this role demands a hands-on approach, a knack for complex social media strategies (multi-channel, multi-product, and cross-regional), a passion for storytelling, and a proven track record in amplifying brand voices across the digital sphere.
In this role, you will
- Oversee the Jet Brains social media presence and management, including platforms, accounts, tools, and guidelines.
- Develop and implement multi-channel, multi-product, and cross-regional social media strategies that align with the marketing OKRs on the company, regional, and product levels and transmit Jet Brains’ brand values and tone of voice.
- Create or curate social media content plans where the storytelling resonates on both a professional and personal level, effectively engaging B2B and individual audiences alike.
- Work seamlessly across Mar Com, PR, brand, product, and other relevant teams to ensure plans are executed effectively.
- Provide insightful analysis and reports to stakeholders on social media performance, highlighting successes and offering actionable recommendations to improve key growth metrics such as follower count, engagement rate, and reach.
- Continuously refine and promote Jet Brains’ general and channel-specific social media guidelines and best practices within the company.
- Identify and capitalize on emerging social media trends and platforms, adapting strategies to maintain relevance and engagement.
- Quickly and effectively identify and manage any potential social media crises to protect the company’s reputation.
- Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities, responding promptly and cooperating with relevant teams.
- Curate and optimize channel moderation that is primarily handled by the Support team and overseen by channel owners to cultivate a positive and engaging community environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, with an MBA or relevant master's degree being a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in social media management, 2 years of which in a leadership role, with experience working on a global IT product or brand being a big plus.
- A passion for social media marketing and a strong understanding of the social media realm, including platforms, tools, trends, and best practices.
- Extensive experience developing and executing social media strategies for X (Twitter), Linked In, and Facebook – experience with Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube, Twitch, Threads, We Chat, or Bilibili would be a big plus.
- A proactive and results-driven approach with a strong sense of accountability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with the ability to see the big picture and accommodate the expectations of multiple stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience with external creators and agencies.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
