Behind the title
The Data & AI Engagement Lead role is a pivotal partner to the global commercial functions, responsible for translating complex business problems into solutions within the realms of data and AI. This role demands a deep business acumen, understanding of data and AI, as well as the ability to manage the full development lifecycle of data and AI-driven projects.

Key responsibilities:

Act as the primary partner to the business lead, pressure-testing and refining business problems into actionable data and AI-driven projects
Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals
Map and staff the appropriate mix of technical capabilities for project execution, tailored to the specific needs of each project
Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle of data and AI projects, maintaining deep involvement in technology choices, architecture decisions, and roadmap planning
Operate across one or multiple projects within commercial sectors, adapting approach and team composition based on the project type and seniority level
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in dat, AI and technology to continually enhance project outcomes
Ensure partnership and effective collaboration across multiple DD&IT functions and commercial units in Novo Nordisk

Which competencies to bring?
To succeed in this role, we imagine the ideal candidate meets most of the following:

Extensive experience in data and AI solutions development, with a strong background in project execution, data and AI- preferable in a commercial context
Proven ability to harvest value of data and AI in business use-cases, and managing complex projects from ideation phase to production
Experience from consulting and/or pharma is a benefit, but not a requirement
Advanced knowledge of machine learning and data modeling techniques (advanced coding skills is not expected in this role)
Strong functional leadership skills with experience in staffing and leading technical teams
Experience working in a matrix organization and effectively collaborating across different functions

On a personal level, you have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. As well as, strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
