For our European Innovation Site (EIC) in Hørsholm, Denmark we are looking for a
Head of Global Regulatory Plant Health (m/f/d)
You will join FMC as a key member of our Plant Health strategic leadership team, as you will be leading our global regulatory strategy for FMC’s fast-growing Portfolio of Biopesticides, Bio stimulants and Crop Nutrition ingredients.
In this role you will be responsible for defining, managing, and implementing the global regulatory strategy for FMC’s Plant Health active ingredients portfolio. Key to your success will be your collaboration with senior regulators, project managers, regulatory scientists, and country/regional regulatory affairs managers across FMC.
Responsibilities:
- Drive regulatory initiatives across geographies and product lines of projects directly linked to the success of the business such as product line expansion, growth, defense, sourcing, off-patent strategy, trade, and competitive intelligence
- Maintain external focus relating to opportunities and threats to key active ingredients and promote strategies in advance of competitive pressure
- Develop strategic plans for the protection of the assets using data protection, intellectual property and regulatory procedures
- Coordinate and identify data and studies required to support registrations
- Collaborate with legal and Intellectual Property teams providing regulatory leadership
- Support regional managers during meetings, projects and collaborations with local regulatory authorities
- Represent FMC in global biologicals industry associations and promote science based and pragmatic regulations for biopesticides and bio stimulants
- Effectively monitor industry and regulatory activities and assess impact on key compounds
Qualifications:
- MSc or Ph.D. degree in a regulatory science or related discipline (chemistry, toxicology, eco-toxicology, biochemistry or environmental science)
- Extensive experience in global regulatory roles within the biological and/or plant protection industry
- Demonstrated ability to apply scientific knowledge to regulatory related solutions
- Previous experience in dealing with regulatory authorities and policymakers around biopesticide and bio stimulant regulations
- Substantial stakeholder management experience is critical
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize data and develop recommendations
- Demonstrate sound judgment, planning, project management and organizational skills
- Fluency in both written and verbal English is required
