Introduction
We are seeking a Process Owner, Operative Purchasing to join our Logistics Excellence team in the Services BA! You will be responsible ensuring that the operative purchasing process area in Global Logistics Operations is fit for purpose, and that the global purchasing operational processes are integrated into other Metso processes on a global and local level. You are also leading the long-term continuous improvement of this process area, and securing that the process metrics are also measured effectively. In this position, you will report to Senior Manager, Process Development.
This is a one-year fixed-term contract starting as soon as possible.
The primary location for this position is Espoo, however other locations in Finland can be considered. We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of Process Owners, who are dedicated to managing and improving the Global Logistics Operations areas. Together with your team and stakeholders, you will also cooperate to identify opportunities to enhance our supply chain capabilities through process development. As process owner, you would also participate in cross-functional Agile teams to contribute process knowledge to system and digital solution developments. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the global ERP program in Metso and be part of the work to create our future ERP. Our team culture is all about finding solutions and continuous improvement - together. We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as Global logistics teams. The members of our team are currently located in Finland and Sweden
What you’ll do
Own the operational purchasing processes and development activities
Define and standardize the operative purchasing Operations processes
Coordinate business requirements gatherings and prioritization for process and systems
Lead the continuous improvement across Global Logistics Operations organization related to coperative purchasing
Establish virtual teams for the purpose of process development and ensure best practice sharing from all stakeholders.
Develop and implement guidelines and business rules for operative purchasing in cooperation with Business Lines and Operations
Define and manage inventory planning KPIs; collect requirements for and ensure the use of analytics and reporting capabilities related to operative purchasing
Support operative purchasing and capability development end-to-end across the organization.
Monitor and ensure compliance with the global operating model and processes for operative purchasing
Who you are
You have a minimum of 5 years of related work experience with applicable industry, logistics, or consulting.
You have a University degree in a related field
Proven track record of process management and development with excellent skills in creating technical and business documentation.
Previous experience in logistics, complex logistics and procurement or operative purchasing is a definite asset
Facilitation, change management and Agile methodology skills and experience are considered an asset
You have a system-thinking and continuous improvement mindset and excellent organizational and analytical skills.
You have the ability to turn feedback into steps of improvement
You have the ability to develop action plans and roadmaps, with a strong drive to complete tasks and projects.
You have strong communication skills in English, and you are not afraid to partner with people at all levels.
