Introduction
We are seeking a Proposal Manager to join the Engineer To Order (ETO) proposal team, working with Filtration Mods & Upgrades, in Beneficiation, Dewatering & Hydrometallurgy (BDH) Business Line.
As a Proposal Manager, you are responsible for creating proposals for ETO mods & upgrade solutions to meet customer and market area demand. This is done by gathering all necessary information from stakeholders to create a complete proposal scope including materials, engineering and project management, freight, etc. In this position, you will report to Senior Manager, ETO Proposals.
The primary location for this position is Lappeenranta, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

What you’ll do
Create Proposals for ETO mods & upgrade solutions to meet customer and market area demand.
Review customer inquiries, identifying needs, requirements and expectations, and coordinate with engineering teams about the scope's engineering requirements.
Gather all costs for the scope regarding materials, freights and related work hours to ensure the quoted price is aligned with the profitability targets of the Business Line
Ensure proposal competitiveness by clearly communicating the Metso value add for our customer.
Ensure proposals are commercially viable and competitive while mitigating and managing Metso’s risk
Ensure the handover of as-sold packages to the project management teams together with MA proposal teams.
Coordinate ETO proposals with Market Area teams to deliver a proposal with the most Metso value add.
Be part of developing standard commercial offerings for upgrades and retrofits together with Product groups and others, and deploy these to the Market Area teams for opportunity generation
Work to ensure all related company intellectual property is controlled and protected
Other related duties and tasks assigned by the line manager
Who you are
You have a technical background and a desire to explore and understand new technologies
You have a service-minded attitude and want to find effective solutions to customer issues
You can read and understand technical drawings and specifications
You have a good general understanding of filtration equipment
You are a team player with the ability to work with global teams of people from multiple locations and cultures
You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Finnish is considered an advantage.
You are willing to learn, improve and develop yourself
