The Role

As Application Development Engineer Baking, you will contribute scientifically and technically to our application development with focus on the baking industry, provide high-level technical support during new product developments and you will support the technical validation of prioritized sales activities.
Your key responsibilities include:

• Provide high level technical support through execution of well-designed laboratory baking experiments
• Strengthen internal application know-how and product portfolio development with focus on Türkiye, Middle East, and Africa applications (e.g. Ekmek, Pide, flat breads and other regional bread types)
• Provide creative and effective hands-on baking support to key customers and high-potential projects with focus on Türkiye, Middle East, and Africa
• Work closely with Marketing and Sales to deliver application (and technical) input for relevant industrial applications and growth opportunities
• Member of the global Application Development Baking team

About You

• In depth knowledge and hands on baking experience from the baking, baking ingredient, or flour milling industry is essential
• A University degree in Food Technology or other related disciplines and work experience in a relevant industry connected to baking is required
• Scientific knowledge on enzymes in baking is a clear asset
• Preferably 5-10 years of work experience in baking industry with hands-on baking experience
• Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to details
• A creative, innovative and passion for baking
• Fluency in written and spoken English are a must, communication skills in German or a language from the Middle East are an asset
• An outgoing personality, good interpersonal and communication skills are essential
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 20% of the time for work-related assignments
