Your tasks:

• Steering of local industrial portfolios to achieve HDI Global SE's profit and growth targets
• Referral Underwriting for the Construction and Engineering Insurance (C&E) of the German and international branches and subsidiaries of HDI Global SE
• Develop regional underwriting stratiegies with local collegues to profitably grow the C&E business and minimise portfolio volatility
• Evaluation, recommendation and negotiation of insurance terms and conditions for C&E products with a focus on project business (e.g. infrastructure, construction, chemicals, manufacturing, electronics) as well as annual contracts and international programmes
• Analyse current business performance against various benchmarks to ensure adequate development and satisfactory results

Your profile:

• Successfully completed training as an expert for insurance and finance or successfully completed university degree e.g. in engineering, business administration or comparable professional experience
• Several years of underwriting experience in engineering insurance with a primary insurer or reinsurer advantageous
• Professional experience in engineering insurance, preferably also outside Germany
• Very good analytical skills and careful working methods
• Team-oriented, independent and solution-oriented approach to work
• Communicative, intercultural and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in both written and spoken German and English, other foreign languages welcome
• Willingness to travel internationally from time to time
