About the position
Location: Athens, Greece
Hybrid work
We are looking for a motivated and analytical Category Manager to support the development of category strategies and drive revenue growth initiatives. This role will work closely with senior category management, sales, and marketing teams to ensure our product portfolio meets both customer and consumer needs while optimizing profitability. The ideal candidate will be a proactive thinker, able to leverage data insights to influence category performance and play a key role in delivering pricing, promotion, and assortment strategies through effective revenue growth management.
Key Accountabilities:
- Build Trade Category Plan & support Senior Category Manager in developing and executing category strategies to drive growth and market share.
- Analyze market data, shopper trends, and category performance to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Co-lead category performance (P&L, Net Sales, Profitability, Market shares) & develop pricing and promotion strategies as part of Revenue Growth Management (RGM) to optimize profitability and sales growth.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop tailored solutions that meet both retailer and company objectives.
- Interact with Supply chain and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Assist in managing product assortment, ensuring optimal shelf placement and alignment with category strategy.
- Conduct competitive analysis to understand market dynamics, consumer behavior, and pricing strategies, making recommendations for adjustments.
- Participate in regular cross-functional meetings to align on category performance, RGM plans, and sales execution.
- Support the preparation of category presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
So, what does it take to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor's Degree Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or any relevant field. Master's degree will be considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in relevant position preferably within FMCG sector.
- Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point).
- Great communication and presentation skills,
- Fluent in English and in Greek.
- Good understanding of business financials and analytical skills.
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with customer focused attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
