Chief Financial Officer (Ref. 5689/CFO/ESS/GR)

Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity for a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to join a well esteemed FMCG company, renowned for its high-quality food products. With a solid presence in Greece, strong export activities and expanding footprint across Europe through their subsidiary companies, they are seeking the finance head to drive transformation and guide the company through a significant new phase of growth.

As CFO, you will play a central role in reshaping the Finance Department, leading key financial functions, and serving as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board of Directors. You will also be responsible for managing a major investment plan and overseeing the company's participation in the equity of other food production companies.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of the company and ensure financial readiness for the challenges ahead.

Key Responsibilities:
Finance Department Transformation: Lead the transformation of the Finance Department, including the Accounting & Tax, FP&A, and Credit Control functions. Implement new systems, processes, and reporting structures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Investment Plan Management: Oversee the implementation and financial management of the company’s investment plan focused on building upgrades, new production lines, and machinery. Ensure that all financial aspects of this plan are executed efficiently and align with the company’s strategic objectives.

Equity Participation Management: Manage and oversee financial activities related to the company’s involvement in the equity capital of other companies in the food production sector. Provide strategic advice and analysis to guide these investments and maximize their returns.

Strategic Business Partner: Collaborate closely with the CEO and owner, providing critical financial insights that drive strategic decision-making. Support the Board of Directors with detailed financial analysis, investment appraisals, and long-term planning.

FP&A Development: Establish and strengthen a robust FP&A function, delivering accurate financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Ensure timely and actionable financial reports that align with the company’s strategic goals.

Leadership & Team Development: Lead and inspire a talented finance dept team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Ensure that the team is aligned with and fully supports the company’s development.

Candidate’s Profile:
Significant experience in senior finance leadership roles, preferably as a CFO, within Greek companies. Experience in the FMCG sector is highly desirable.

Proven experience in managing significant investment projects, including building infrastructure, production lines, and machinery. Experience in handling equity participation and investments in other companies is essential.

Demonstrated success in transforming finance functions, including system and process optimization, team development, and driving financial performance.

Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. Capable of guiding investment decisions and supporting the CEO and Bo D in long-term planning.

A strong leader with a track record of building, developing, and inspiring high-performing finance and accounting teams.

Solid academic background in Finance; MBA/MSC or other professional qualification is highly desirable.
