Chief Operations Officer (Ref. 5701/COO/ESS/GR)
Profile:
The ideal Executive will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring operational excellence and driving the successful implementation of strategic goals. As COO, he/she will play a pivotal role in streamlining processes, managing resources and leading a diverse team of employees and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership and ensure adherence to the Strategic Plan that reflects the company’s goals, assuring continued growth and operational excellence.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure budgets are followed, cost-saving measures are implemented and financial goals are met.
- Lead and optimize all operational aspects of the business, ensuring efficient workflows, adherence to best practices and overall productivity.
- Ensure the organization maintains compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements, as well as necessary certifications and accreditations.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance processes to ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness and high-quality outcomes.
- Cultivate a positive work environment that fosters employee engagement, development and retention.
- Ensure a strong, positive image of the company is maintained with key stakeholders, partners and government bodies.
Requirements:
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree and a postgraduate degree (MBA or similar) is strongly desired.
- Minimum 8 years in a senior leadership role, ideally within large, diverse and multinational organizations. Experience in Commercial operations (including exports and retail).
- Proven track record working with Boards and senior executives, with exceptional problem-solving and management skills.
- Deep understanding of essential technical and functional skills, with expertise in business operations and the ability to quickly learn and apply new methods and technologies.
- Strong communication skills to lead teams, interact with various stakeholders and handle complex situations.
- High analytical abilities to overcome operational challenges and develop viable short and long-term strategies.
- Proven experience in leading and developing executive teams, setting goals and providing actionable feedback.
- Demonstrates high integrity and consistency, aligning actions with clear values and beliefs; direct and truthful, while maintaining confidentiality.
