Production Department Supervisor – Ref. 5674/PDC/ESS/GR
Job Overview:
As a member of the production management team, the Production Development Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily activities in some of the departments in the production process, ensuring that all operations align with the company's strategic goals. This role requires close collaboration with various departments, including Maintenance and Procurement, to ensure seamless production flow, timely project completion and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The position reports to the Production Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and ensure the smooth execution of daily production activities, maintaining adherence to performance and quality standards.
Drive and support initiatives to enhance production processes, product quality, cost efficiency and energy performance.
Prepare and deliver detailed progress and production reports.
Plan, schedule and coordinate tasks with department personnel to achieve timely and effective project completion.
Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental protection standards and company policies.
Implement, maintain and improve Quality and Environmental Management Systems across production activities.
Assist in developing and monitoring annual budgets and participate in periodic budget reviews.
Collaborate with the Maintenance Department to schedule and oversee equipment maintenance, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Work with the Procurement Department to manage material demands and approve suppliers.
Supervise personnel, ensuring effective operation of the department and overseeing employee safety, training, and evaluation.
Enforce workplace safety and environmental protection measures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry (with a preference for candidates with a Master’s in Electrochemistry).
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within an industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of production practices, with experience in environmental and/or safety management being an asset.
Proficiency in using MS Office and other relevant software applications.
Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Proven ability to analyze complex situations, identify problems and develop effective solutions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working across departments.
