Principia is a producer and developer of renewable energy projects in Greece. The business manages a diversified portfolio of wind, solar, hydropower and integrated battery storage technologies to help accelerate Greece’s transition to a cleaner and more sustainable future. As of June 2024, its portfolio consists of 65 plants under operation with a total installed capacity of 566MW, and an additional 2 solar parks under construction with a total capacity of 11MW.
Principia was established in March 2024 by its shareholders, Enel Sp A and by a fund managed by Macquarie Asset Management, having previously begun operations in 2008 as part of Enel Green Power in Greece.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that H&S requirements are followed throughout all project phases.
• Ensure quality standards are met, and the project meets the Company’s expectations.
• Oversee projects' time schedules, identifying critical path, and key milestones for project's success.
• Determine the project CAPEX (including risk analysis with the support of other disciplines inside E&C unit and other functions.
• Organize along with the Supply department the supply and delivery of the Main Equipment.
• Coordinate with the Engineering Office the technical supervision and control of the projects.
• Participate and oversee contract negotiations, change orders, and other agreements with customer, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Lead project team meetings, provide updates, and communicate with construction site and external stakeholders.
• Visit Construction Site and participate in meetings with Contractors/Suppliers.
• Liaise with Financial, Engineering, Construction & Procurement Department.
• Track project performance and report project’s progress to senior management.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, ensuring team members have the necessary resources to deliver the project successfully.
• Approve all project payments and follow up on budget on a weekly basis, in cooperation and coordination with the financial department.
• Verify provisional acceptance of the project in order to authorize payment to third parties.
• Manage the supply and construction contracts with the suppliers.
• Manage Insurance placement and claims throughout the construction of projects, in coordination with relevant departments.
• Liaise with local communities as well as with the authorities.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Project Manager for the construction of power plants (renewable or conventional energy).
• Experience in project management, construction or engineering of BESS Systems (standalone or hybrid) will be considered as advantage.
• Technical knowledge in civil works, mechanical and electrical (electrical MV/HV and substations).
• Knowledge of the current legislation in Greece related with the execution of the projects.
• Knowledge of the main process and tools of Project Management.
• Knowledge of the software (Auto CAD) and software Microsoft Project.
• Good relations with Public Administration, City Hall, and owners’ lands.
• Project Management Professional title (PMP) or other certificate got by similar entity will be considered as an asset.
• Fluent English is required.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work in autonomy for complex tasks and in multiple projects under pressure.
• Good judgment in resolving issues; proactively seek solutions to upcoming issues and offer insights and ideas.
