Alumni Relations Officer I/Alumni Relations Officer II

Duties

The Alumni Relations Office (ARO) aims to unite alumni to support University development. It seeks to build a strong global alumni network, foster alumni bonds and strengthen the relationships between alumni and the University. The communications arm of ARO supports these goals through effective communication and proactive alumni engagement. We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic communications professional to fulfill the responsibilities:

Develop and manage the communications strategies of the office encompassing both online and offline channels;

Create and curate engaging contents for various social media platforms, with an emphasis on mainland social media including We Chat;

Develop strategies to expand the reach of communication platforms;

Coordinate compelling alumni stories to highlight alumni achievements;

Manage publicity materials, reports and proposals including drafting and editing, etc.;

Organise events and programmes to maximise alumni engagement and branding;

Collaborate with internal teams to create impactful and well-coordinated communications and engagement strategies;

Provide secretarial support;

Liaise with alumni leaders and key stakeholders; and

Perform any other duties as assigned.

Irregular working hours and occasional travels outside Hong Kong on a need basis are required.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with more than 7 years’ post-qualification experience in communications, marketing or related fields;

Excellent communication skills;

Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);

Proven experience in digital communication and social media management, particularly with mainland platforms;

Attention to details, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and creative approach to problem solving;

Strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation to work independently to meet tight timelines; and

Ability to work effectively both independently and as a good team player are required.

Experience in tertiary education institutions, especially in alumni affairs, would be an advantage.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Alumni Relations Officer II.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test and interview.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
