Civil Engineering Department

Requirements

Faculty in Project Management/ Hydraulics and Hydrology/ Advanced Technologies in Civil Engineering discipline:

Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field;

Professional membership of the relevant discipline is preferred but not a must;

Demonstrated research/ practical expertise in:
Project management/Hydraulics, hydrology and water engineering/

Application of innovative technologies to Civil Engineering, such as AI and machine learning for predictive analytics, optimization and decision support, Robotics and automation in construction and infrastructure management, etc

Preference would be given to the ones with expertise/ teaching experience in one of the following areas:

Traffic Engineering

Building Services Engineering

Key Responsibilities

1. Undertake teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels

2. ⁠Undertake duties in course/ programme/ curriculum review and development

3. ⁠Conduct research that leads to publications in top-tier refereed journals

4. ⁠Engage in high-level consultancy, and other scholarly activities

5. ⁠Perform academic and administrative duties

6. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his delegate
