Assistant Project Manager (holding the functional title of Senior Curriculum

The appointee will provide support to the project entitled “English Learning Support Programme for
Primary School Students with Dyslexia” and other Centre businesses. This project aims to develop and
implement a tiered intervention model: supporting the learning of English as a second language for
primary school students with reading and writing difficulties.

The appointee is required to lead a project team to develop and implement curricula for the project
intervention programme, and assist in managing quality assurance matters. He/she will be responsible
for designing, developing, and reviewing the intervention curriculum; supervising project staff in
developing and implementing related teaching materials and strategies; building networks with schools;
coordinating and planning for the provision of onsite school-based support to teachers; conducting
workshops for teachers, parents, and related professionals; assisting in setting up the community of
practice for supporting primary school students with English learning difficulties; and perform other
duties as assigned. The appointment will be for a period from two to three years, depending on the
appointee’s qualifications and experience.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or above in English Language or relevant disciplines, a
Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and at least 10 years of experience in English language teaching
and curriculum development in local primary schools. They should be self-motivated, highly proficient
in both English and Chinese, have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and be familiar with
the local primary curriculum. Those with diverse and proven experience supporting SEN students are
highly preferred.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include the University’s
