Campus Development and Management Office - Building Maintenance Officer

The University now invites application for the following position:
(Ref: BMO (CDMO) 2024-09-06)
- lead and supervise technicians to carry out day-to-day repair and maintenance tasks;
- update technical records, control the stock of spare parts, responsible for emergency repairs and investigate the cause of breakdown;
- operate preventive maintenance program, evaluate plant performance, conduct failure analysis, establish annual maintenance schedule and statutory compliance works;
- prepare tendering documents for building services works including alteration, improvement, maintenance and service natures;
- serve as a project officer overseeing supervision, liaising with users and providing support for administrative duties;
- oversee the operation of physical plant including the sewage pumping system; and
- act as an emergency team member in the event of unexpected situations, such as inclement weather condition.
Applicants Should
- possess a recognised bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering or related disciplines, and registered as a Electrical Worker;
- have at least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in repair and maintenance of building services installation, and/or operation and maintenance in sizeable organisations;
- have good knowledge of operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical (E&M) and other builders’ work activities;
- have knowledge of computer software (including Autocad Word and Excel);
- possess good communication, leadership and supervisory skills;
- have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
- be attentive to details and urgent matters.
