Chief Inspector of Works-Civil (Capital Works) (Ref: 240001KU)

We are looking for aspiring and suitably qualified individuals to join our Capital Works Business Unit (CWBU), where we work with our stakeholders to create sustainable transport solutions for the community, and we care for our staff and provide a great place to work.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of Inspectors of Works and supervise contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and in compliance with contract requirements
Oversee construction works safety, progress and quality as well as supervise on-site and off-site testing in accordance with specifications
Manage stakeholders’ expectations and inquiries related to site issues
Take all necessary measurements and be responsible for site record management

Requirements

Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
A minimum of 15 years' relevant experience in railway, heavy civil or infrastructure works
Experience in deep excavation, pile foundation, station and viaduct construction by precast methods, working in river/nullah under dry/wet season constraints, utility works, Architectural Builders Works and Finishes (ABWF), railway modification works under an operating environment
Extensive experience in managing internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives, coordinating with contractors, handling statutory processes leading to hand over of the completed works to operations teams is an advantage

Remarks

Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms
