Engineer (Asset Replacement Management – Power Distribution) (Ref: 240001K4)

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineering and technical staff or contractor to execute high voltage and low voltage asset replacement work
Review work programme, method statement, design submission, commissioning procedure, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manual, and contingency plan in compliance with the project and site requirement
Undertake administration of project documents, site records and as-built drawings
Ensure work safety and quality in compliance with corporate, contract and statutory requirements
Identify and resolve on-site technical problems and conflicts with other parties
Coordinate with other departments on work execution to ensure safe and reliable railway operation
Perform duties for other projects, operation interface or maintenance works when required

Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
A minimum of 4 years' experience in high voltage (HV) / overhead line (OHL) / traction power system asset replacement, testing and commissioning, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
Possession of Corporate Membership of a professional institution in a related discipline, Grade “C” or "H" Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker and a valid Hong Kong driving licence Class 1 and 2 are preferred
Sound knowledge of operation and maintenance of railway supply equipment is an advantage
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Remarks

Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract term
Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
Required to perform shift duties and work under adverse weather and emergency situations
