The University now invites application for the following position:

Finance Office - Accounting Assistant
(Ref: AA (FO) 2024-09-20)

Responsibilities

perform daily operation of accounts payable and receivable;
prepare accounting journals and be responsible for housekeeping of documents;
assist in month-end closing, and prepare schedules and breakdowns;
perform banking-related duties, including deposit for cash/cheque and application for bank drafts / telegraphic transfers, etc.;
assist in fixed assets management and control, including but not limited to labeling and stocktaking;
assist in year-end and statutory audits; and
assist in the maintenance and enhancement of the financial accounting system.

Applicants Should

possess a recognised diploma or bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting discipline, with at least 2 years of relevant working experience;
demonstrate proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Power Point;
preferably possess knowledge of Oracle Financials system;
have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
have good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills; and
be mature and attentive to details, able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure and tight timelines, and have a strong sense of responsibility.

Work experience in the tertiary education sector will be an advantage.
