Our client, a well-established General Insurance Company in Hong Kong, is looking for a high-calibre candidate to join their Group:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Key person in financial control.
Oversee daily financial operations and reporting for General Insurance, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Review payment and receipt journals, as well as month-end closing processes.
Prepare premium, claims, and reinsurance data for actuarial teams, business units, auditors, and regulatory filings.
Manage data and report reconciliation tasks.
Participate in various projects, including IFRS 17 implementation and HKRBC.
Handle investment-related projects.
Prepare supporting documents, financial statements, and other statutory filings for external auditors and regulators.
Engage in business initiatives, system enhancements, and finance projects.
Perform ad hoc duties and other tasks as assigned.
Report directly to the CEO.

Professional Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting and a professional accountancy qualification.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial accounting within the general insurance sector, including audit experience.
Essential experience in General Insurance business.
Responsible, self-motivated, and proactive.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing.
