IT Specialist

We are looking for capable IT Specialist to support the daily operation & management of the IT & audio-visual conference infrastructure implemented in the Establishments. The candidate will work independently under the direction of designated person of Inno HK Administration Office and Heads of the Establishments.
The IT Specialist shall undertake the following for the Establishments in HKSTP:
- Administer the Microsoft 365 and Azure based IT infrastructure & servers including services like Azure Tenant management, AAD, Exchange, Share Point and Intune;
- Provide installation, troubleshooting of OS & applications for desktop PC and Notebooks, handle general user services enquiries and support requests;
- Assist the administration & provide technical support of the high performance computing servers for research activities in Laboratories;
- Provide front line support, such as fault isolation, trouble shooting, management of the implemented wired & wireless (Wi Fi) infrastructure, network connection and the audio video conference systems;
- Process fault report and coordinate with equipment suppliers / maintenance services providers regarding the fault incidents, and maintenance services on the installed IT and AV devices;
- Maintain proper and clear documentation on moves and changes on the IT environments, equipment inventory and maintenance records etc. conducted in various Establishments;
- Advise on and assist in the purchase of IT hardware and software to meet the Establishments’ business need; and
- Perform other IT support duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant work experience;
- Knowledge in Azure cloud, M365, network technologies and Linux is desirable. On-job training will be provided;
- Knowledge and experience in some of the areas, for example, desktop computing software, digital A/V and video conferencing technologies will be a plus;
- Holder of following certificates or related is an advantage: -
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals
- VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proactive, self-initiated, good analytical, problem-solving skills and willing to learn new technologies and able to work under pressure; and
- Able to communicate with English, Putonghua and Cantonese.
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
