Job Description
I am accountable to build and run a small team of Product Managers and be responsible for creating and articulating a clear strategic direction that ladders up to the larger business objectives. I am expected to represent my product to senior leadership, know my area of the business inside and out and have a clear understanding of all my key metrics and product performance. As I progress in this role it becomes less about the "doing" itself, but the ability to empower and grow my team to deliver value - though initially I may retain some accountability for writing user stories and creating backlogs.

• Will evolve and drive the product vision, strategy, and the long-term roadmap
• Will proactively partner with peers and senior stakeholders to set the future direction of my product as part of the wider business strategy
• Understand key user personas, customers & stakeholders for the product and their pain points.
• Am accountable for the performance/ adoption of the product and work towards achieving the Outcomes and Key Results (OKRs)
• Prioritise work and decisively resolve trade-offs with peers and senior leaders
• Effectively document and explain new requirements to the engineering team using user stories with acceptance criteria and help the team in breaking down complex work into smaller, deliverable chunks of value that can be delivered faster.
• Steer sprint/ release planning sessions by working with the engineering counterparts to plan sprints/ releases that deliver maximum business value in least effort
• Drive the acceptance and adoption of ideas and improvements with product teams and engineering stakeholders
• Prioritise coordinate and communicate the resolution of live product issues independently
• Provide leadership and direction to cross functional team (s) on short-term tasks/ near-term priorities
• Identify and remove impediments faced by the team by working with your Head of Product and other stakeholders and proactively flag any risks or delays in your commitments
• Build and nurture a great team of Product Managers for my product, based on the business needs, strategic priorities assigned, and level of focus required
• Empower and develop my team to continually deliver value
• Be dedicated to the Central European market (Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary) with a focus on the customer experience specific to this market
• oversee the Grocery Home Shopping and Marcom area which includes the full online shopping experience and the new digital platform (marcom website) with its sub-systems
• Be accountable for driving and executing the product strategy with the involvement of multiple internal and external stakeholders across all CE locations and UK
• Be required to travel occasionally within CE or to UK
• Seek further improvements and optimization of established ways of working with the technology teams as well as with stakeholders
• Build and nurture a great team of PMs based on the business needs, strategic priorities assigned and level of focus require
• Understand the budget requirements and allocation, coordinates with programme on this topic

Qualifications

• I have applied UX/UI disciplines and principles to the products I work on, making sure I design a product that is intuitive and easy to interact with for the customer
• I appraise and analyse the results of customer research and use the results to influence product outcomes and strategic goals
• I know how diverse personas or customer groups perceive, understand and experience my product in different ways
• I write hypothesis statements and work directly with optimisation managers and/or engineers to set up and execute experiments
• I know how large technology systems should interact with each other and track health metrics (uptime, SLOs, response time, etc)
• I am involved in setting the vision and strategy for my product area and develop and baseline my product's OKRs
• I engage with and am actively involved in market research, leveraging insights to shape the vision and strategic direction of the product in line with business and Technology goals and customer expectations.
• I am skilled in using various data types in different situations and know when to use quantitative and/or qualitative data
• I apply the concepts of machine learning and AI to the products I create, working with data scientists and engineers to deliver value through product
• I understand large scale data platforms and how they can increase the scalability, availability, performance, and security of my organisation’s data
• I understand the Product Management lifecycle, product delivery process and the importance of an Agile mindset to discover, design, define, develop and deliver small increments of the most important opportunities that will drive growth and value for my product
• I understand the importance of using data to prioritise and adopting a consistent approach to prioritisation
• I know how to use relevant tools to produce and update roadmaps for my product
• I understand the importance of a product roadmap in creating buy-in from stakeholders and other teams
• I understand my business, including the key commercial drivers, business metrics and performance indicators, and can play a part in the decision-making process.
• I am able to continually deliver value through my product team
