Job Purpose
Assist superior in formulation of safety plan, safety procedures, and guidelines and to coordinate and monitor implementation. To assist superior in fulfillment of the statutory obligation and prevention of personal injuries, loss of property and equipment in order to maintain safe working environment.Job Context & Major Challenges
Job Context: Dalla Cement Works (DLCW); a flagship unit of Ultratech Cement Ltd. (UTCL), is located around 120 km from Varanasi on Varanasi – Pipari SH-5 on the southern bank of river Sone. The unit started with an old unit K4 of 0.5 MTPA of clinker. The journey of excellence with technological Up gradation resulted in two units (Line-4 & 5) with ultimate capacity of 2.0 MTPA Clinker and 0.5 MTPA cement production. Assist superior in Safety Implementation: Ensure implementation of safe working practices in the plant to achieve zero accident goals. Ensure proper implementation of work permit system. Regular safety inspection at Plant, Mines & TPP

c) Feedback to Departmental Heads on monitoring the implementation of the action points related to safety

Assist superior in Safety awareness and promotion: Conduct programs related to safety in order to motivate employees and improve safety in the unit

d) Arrange and conduct safety awareness campaigns safety awareness through online

Assist Superior in Development of Safety Procedure: Investigation and analysis of accidents to develop improved safe working practices in the unit. Preparation of contractor safety manual and its through implementation. Ensure display of safe operating procedure / instructions near equipment’s
a) Listing activities of operations in coordination with departmental people

c) Implement Counter-measures for hazards / risks

Assist Superior in Statutory Compliance: Coordinate for compliance of statutory requirements pertaining to safety rules and regulations with Factory Inspectorate
a) Arrange coordinate for safety committee meeting
b) Inspection of equipment as per safety norms e.g. lifts, hoist, cranes stability etc.
c) Coordinate departmental accident reports and send to statutory authority
d) Conduct mock drills to check onsite emergency preparedness
