- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a professional pastry kitchen.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training, with a focus on pastry arts.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and dessert preparation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
- Manage and supervise the preparation and cooking of pastry and dessert items in your designated section.
- Ensure that all pastries and desserts are prepared according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, including line cooks and apprentices, in pastry techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies relevant to your pastry section.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine to develop new pastry menu items and improve existing recipes.
- Ensure consistent quality and taste in all pastries and desserts served from your section.
- Assist in maintaining kitchen schedules and workflows during busy service periods.
