Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the operations and strategic growth of our hotel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel development and refurbishment projects, a proven track record of leading accounting and finance teams, and significant international work experience. This role requires a visionary leader capable of driving operational excellence, fostering financial health, and leading large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure optimal guest satisfaction and efficient service delivery.
• Hotel Development & Refurbishment: Lead and manage hotel development projects, including property refurbishment, expansions, and major renovations. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure timely and budget-conscious project completion.
• Financial Oversight: Direct and oversee the accounting and finance teams to ensure robust financial reporting, compliance, and effective budget management.
• Strategic Planning: Work closely with the executive team to develop and implement long-term business strategies that align with the company’s vision and goals.
• Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor departmental leaders to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all operations meet local and international regulations and hotel industry standards.
• International Collaboration: Leverage international experience to promote best practices, innovation, and global operational standards.
• Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in the hotel industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role involving hotel development or major refurbishment projects.
• International Experience: Demonstrated work experience in leading hotel operations and projects in international markets.
• Financial Expertise: Strong background in accounting and finance management, with an ability to lead financial teams and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
