Activity and Transport Coordinator

The Activity and Transport Coordinator is a key role in the delivery of Future Learning’s Technology Enhanced English Language programme for younger learners of 12-24 years of age in Dublin and Athlone. They are responsible for coordinating all aspects of the activities schedule including staffing, managing costs, and working closely with the accommodation and academic coordinators on learner welfare and conduct and relations with group leaders and agents.
A typical day would include briefing the activity staff in the morning, dealing with queries from group leaders, updating transport lists, overseeing the activity programme, as well as induction and development of activity staff as necessary.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in designing, staffing, and managing comprehensive activity schedules for summer camps and a proven understanding of the needs of English language learners. They should demonstrate expertise in coordinating a variety of engaging activities, ensuring smooth operation and alignment with program goals. Additionally, hands-on experience in delivering activities that foster language development and cultural immersion is essential. Strong organizational and communication skills, along with a commitment to creating a positive, enriching camp experience, are key.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage transport provision including airport transfers, coach bookings for excursions and leap cards.
- Ensure transport-related payments are accurate and processed in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the development and updating of activity and transport policies where necessary.
- Create, format, share, and complete group schedules, ensuring all logistics are organized as well as flexibility to allow for changes..
- Organise staffing for activities and excursions.
- Organise and book all activities and excursions for young learners, including cultural activities and full-day trips.
- Act as the first point of contact for cultural activities and excursions.
- Review activities with service providers to explore new options and further develop current offerings.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €34,892.00 per year
