International Sales Manager

Future Learning language school was founded in 2013 and is driven by educators. We are a team of experts in the area of Educational Technology with many years of experience in designing and delivering programmes for young people which make best use of teaching and learning through technology. We are actively involved in developing and promoting the effective use of technology in the classroom both in Ireland and throughout Europe. Our approach of Project-Based, Technology Enhanced Learning means that students work together to complete projects through English, using technology where it can help them in reaching their objective.
As International Sales Manager at FL you will be a high energy, confident sales manager driven to achieve projected sales targets through all channels for all markets. Reporting to the school directors, your role will be to retain and develop existing clients, secure new clients and routes to market while supporting the development of new and innovative Future Learning projects.
We are seeking a driven, independent and creative market specialist to take the brand and establish FL as a leading language provider. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a data-led sales and marketing strategy and leading recruitment campaigns globally and will be expected to analyse and identify current market trends and key areas of opportunity.
The successful candidate will be given a large degree of autonomy and will therefore need to be independent, creative and able to work on own initiative, but will be required to report back and work closely with the company directors and key stakeholders in a diverse variety of markets.
The Sales manager must be able to present initiatives in terms of expected return as an essential part of making the case for them and be comfortable with being accountable for the actual return, and be prepared to pivot or re-focus in response to the data on how sales initiatives are performing the market.
The type of person that will be successful in this role is someone who is creative, energetic, positive, detail-oriented, fun and a team player. Being organised and driven with close attention to detail is key to the success in this role. They must also be comfortable collating, analysing and presenting sales-related data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive repeat sales through B2B and B2C relationships/networks
  • Deliver new sales opportunities through a combination of additional relationships, additional routes to market and creative product mix opportunities
  • Ensure all sales opportunities are entered into CRM system by each Business Developer (BD)
  • Ensure each BD closely monitors leads, opportunities and pipelines through appropriate use and maintenance of CRM system
  • Ensure the team responds to all leads and enquiries, prioritising effectively.
  • Liaise closely with other departments at Future Learning regarding new business proposals to ensure deliverability and profitability
  • Champion the full range of FL products new centres both internally and externally
  • Help identify business and growth opportunities for Future Learning as they arise
  • Attend external events, conferences, exhibitions and workshops. International travel is required as part of this role and will involve weekends and out of hours social events.
  • Maintain an expert and up to date knowledge of the international market, monitoring trends & competitor activity and reporting on market intelligence
  • Agree and achieve specific sales targets for Future Learning.
  • Achievement of annual sales targets which include; the targets set for individual BD’s and the overall sales team target including your personal target.
  • Provide progress reports and sales statistics to directors as required and at regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Develop an effective network to provide market intelligence and access to new business opportunities
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge of Future Learnings programmes
  • Ensure the management and development of key accounts, either personally and/or through the sales team
  • Effectively oversee the management of customer expectations
  • Contribute to discussions regarding the strategic planning of the company
  • Identify new sales agents and partners, especially in key growth markets
  • Enhance relationships with existing agents, partners and suppliers
  • Use customer feedback to identify potential for improvement throughout the company portfolio
  • Help develop our direct and agent bookings across all FL offerings
  • Take full managerial responsibility for the sales team and support them in the fulfilment of their tasks and plan for their development
  • Report to accounts for payroll on behalf of the sales team
  • Be responsible for the sales teams annual leave and sickness submissions, and quality assurance using systems established for this purpose.
  • Become familiar with the operation of our school management system and able to extract insights from the data there and in our CRM to inform sales strategy
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €55,000.00 per year

Experience:
  • International Sales: 5 years (required)
