Affirma is looking for a talented Content Editor, Portuguese Speaker to join our international content team. In this role, you will publish relevant and engaging content for our client, working closely with partners to ensure the highest quality experience for our customers. A background in an online publishing environment working on a consumer website is required.
You must be able to handle multiple editorial and programming responsibilities concurrently and work well under regular deadline pressure in a constantly evolving environment.
We are seeking candidates who are either citizens, permanent residents, or otherwise have the necessary authorization to work permanently in Ireland/UK without the need for visa sponsorship.
Job duties
· Content creation, content localization, quality control, writing, and editing in English and Portuguese.
· Program high-quality, relevant content to Brazil.
· Ensure all content is accurate before being published through our content management systems
· Select suitable articles for featured events and contribute ideas to calendar
· Research, source, and edit photos
For this role, you need to have:
· Experience working as an editor or writer in a daily web publishing environment
· Excellent writing skills with flawless spelling and grammar
· Background in online research and experience making valid evaluations of quality
· Awareness of notable events and special days in Brazil.
· Ability to convey features and functions in concise, meaningful words
· Thorough understanding of online editorial best practices and priorities
· Experience using content management systems, and Microsoft Office applications
· Great interpersonal skills and partner management experience
And you need to be:
· A strong editor with good English and Portuguese oral/written communication and IT skills
· Familiar with web searching
· Able to exercise solid judgment in determining the appropriate content for our user base
· Calm under deadline pressure
· Able to handle multiple editorial and programming duties concurrently
· Proactive, organized, easily able to multitask, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment
· Detail-oriented, with great follow-through
· Committed to consistently delivering quality work
· Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment or, as needs dictate, in an independent, autonomous role
